37-Year-Old Struck, Killed By Metro-North Train In New Haven A 37-year-old man was struck and killed by a train in New Haven. The man was found dead around 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, along the tracks behind the New Haven Fire Department's training academy on Ella T. One Dead, Two Injured In Connecticut Shooting, Police Say A 37-year-old man was killed in a shooting that left two others with non-life-threatening injuries. Police responded to the area of East Farm Street around 8 p.m., Saturday for a weapons complaint in New Haven County in Waterbury, authorities said. When officers arrived on the scene, they found two people with gunshot wounds, one injured in the leg and the other in the shoulder and chest area, Waterbury PD Sgt. Robert Davis said.
