The candidates recommended by the BRTC will be presented to a caucus open to all Republicans at a date in January to be determined.

Additionally, the BRTC is seeking candidates interested in volunteering for the following appointed offices: arts commission, board of ethics, Candlewood Lake authority, commission on aging, conservation commission, economic development commission, historic district commission, housing authority, inland wetlands commission, Lake Lillinonah authority, library board of trustees, municipal building committee, parks and recreation commission, police commission and water pollution control authority.

The vacancy committee will conduct interviews in the coming weeks, and the BRTC will recommend candidates to be considered by the Brookfield Board of Selectmen in January.

Regular and alternate members approved by the BOS will begin serving on their respective appointed boards and commissions in February of 2016.
