Motorcyclist Killed In Crash With Car On Route 39 In New Fairfield

Updated: NEW FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a car Thursday afternoon on Route 39 in New Fairfield, according to the Facebook page for New Fairfield Fire Police.

A fatal crash was reported late Thursday afternoon on Route 39 near Squantz Pond State Park in New Fairfield.

The crash occurred at about 2:30 p.m., closing down Route 39 between Short Woods Road and Stop & Shop for nearly four hours, according to the post.

The crash occurred near Short Woods Road near Squantz Pond State Park, and state police were investigating, according to the News-Times website.
