Officers from the Brookfield Police Department had students use impairment goggles to show them how hard it is complete simple tasks, especially driving, when under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The also had the students take standard field sobriety test to hammer the message home.
In addition, officers had students take a ride on the seatbelt demonstrator named The Convincer. This device simulates a 5-10 mph impact with a standard seat belt on to show what can happen even during a small crash at a low seat without a seatbelt.
The health fair, also open to public, included everything from personal trainers and nutritionist to doctors and dentists and health insurance specialists.
