Brookfield Police Offer Life-Saving Child Safety Seat Inspections

BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- Parents know to buckle up but three times out of four their child's safety seat is not installed properly, according to Brookfield police.

The department wants to improve these odds for local residents so three officers went for special training and certification and now qualify to conduct the child safety seat inspections.

This life saving free service is offered monthly, starting Wednesday, Feb. 1 by appointment.

Walk-ins are accepted on days a certified technician is on duty at the Brookfield Police Department. First call the dispatcher at 203-775-2575 and ask if a technician is available.

The service is free.
