Brookfield Man Found In House Charged With Burglary

BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- A Brookfield man who is a convicted felon was arrested after a burglary attempt on Jacobs Lane when the owner came home while he was inside the house, according to the News-Times.

Christopher Braun, 33, immediately walked out of the house, telling the owner that he was looking for a different house, the News-Times reported. The homeowner called police after finding that an interior door had been smashed open and jewelry boxes were scattered on the floor, said the News-Times.

After the homeowner provided police with a detailed description, Braun was stopped on South Main Street and taken into custody, the News-Times reported. Braun was held without bail on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, conspiracy to commit burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and larceny attempt, added the News-Times.
