Hartford Police say they responded to a local hospital around 1:25 p.m., Saturday, May 1, for a report of an accidentally injured two-year-old old who later died, said Hartford Police Lt. Aaron Boisvert.
An investigation revealed the child was injured by a motor vehicle, accidentally, at a private residence on South Whitney Street, Boisvert said.
The child was transported to the hospital by family members.
All involved are cooperating with the police.
The investigation is being actively investigated by the Hartford Police Crime Scene Division.
"At this point in the investigation, this incident appears to be a tragic accident and no charges have been filed," Boisvert said.
