A new reward has been issued as law enforcement agencies attempt to identify and locate a serial bank robber who has targeted locations throughout Fairfield County.
An alert was issued, and video released on Tuesday, Oct. 20 of a robbery suspect who is implicated in robberies in Fairfield, Danbury, Westport, Shelton, and Norwalk between Tuesday, Sept. 29, and Oct. 20.
A total of five robberies were reported involving the same suspect, four of which were at banks.
Police said that during each of the bank robberies, the suspect walked up to the teller window and handed over a hand-written note stating it was a robbery.
No weapons have been shown and there has been no evidence of a weapon being present, investigators noted.
According to police, the suspect has “distinctly similar clothing, mannerisms, and eye shape in each video. He has been described as being a white or Asian man who is approximately 5-foot-7.
In each incident, police investigators noted that the same blue Hyundai Elantra Sport (pictured above) was used. The vehicle may have been a 2016 through 2019 model.
A $3,500 reward has been offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the robbery suspect.
