Squantz Pond State Park Fills Up On A Scorching Sunday

NEW FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Looking for a beach to cool off this hot day? It's too late to head to Squantz Pond State Park in New Fairfield.

The park was reported full to parking capacity and closed to new vehicles as of 10 : 30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 14.

The information was Tweeted by the State Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, which runs the state parks.
