Polls Open Until 8 P.M. As Brookfield Votes On Four Corners Project

BROOKFIELD, Conn. — There's still time to cast your ballot, Brookfield. Voters can head to the polls Tuesday up until 8 p.m. to determine the fate of a streetscape project at the town's Four Corners intersection.

The resolution would $1.7 million to top off funding for the first phase of the project, which is estimated to cost $3.5 million. The majority of the funding would be covered covered by grants.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. The voting locations are:

  • District 1:  Huckleberry Hill Elementary School, 100 Candlewood Lake Road
  • District 2: Brookfield High School, 45 Longmeadow Hill Road

The Four Corners has been an area Brookfield residents and officials have looked to address for decades. The project will include public sidewalks, lights, curbing, a bike path, parking and planters. Four Corners is one of the retail hubs of Brookfield, with many restaurants, boutique shops and other assorted businesses within a short radius.
