BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- The Candlewood Lake Authority recently received two grants from First Light Power Resources, according to BrookfieldPatch.com.
A $20,000 grant enables the authority to upgrade its radio systems on its marine patrol boats, said BrookfieldPatch.com.
The authority applied to First Light Power earlier this season for a grant of $10,000, which was matched by the Goldring Family Foundation, reported BrookfieldPatch.com.
The second grant, for $10,754, also from First Light Power, was used to replace aging hazard marker buoys, the story said.
