The town may have Yale University conduct a forensic investigation even after former Brookfield controller Jay Wahlberg submitted a report to the town on where he believes the money was spent, WLAD said. Current Controller Kimberly Siegrist is reviewing Wahlberg's report, which suggest the money was spent on project overruns and other projects, said WLAD.com.

Brookfield board members say the town needs to determine what happened to make sure it never happens again, added WLAD.com.
