It's A Homecoming As Deep Banana Blackout Hits The Stage In Fairfield
FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Deep Banana Blackout, one of Connecticut’s favorite funk bands, will have a homecoming of sorts June 16, when it takes the stage at Fairfield Theatre Company’s The Warehouse. The group, which features a full horn section and a soulful groove, has played several sold-out shows at FTC’s smaller Stage One, but this will be their debut at the much-larger Warehouse. After Crowdfunding, Danbury Band Is Ready To Rock With New CD
DANBURY, Conn. -- A lot of local love -- and blood, sweat and tears -- have gone into this Saturday’s performance of Phoenix Tree. The band recently debuted its new crowdfunded studio album and will unveil its songs at Billy Bean’s Pub in Danbury on Saturday, May 27 at 10 p.m. The album was a year in the making, from concept to prep and crowdfunding (via Indiegogo) which included performing countless shows throughout the year. Danbury Fair Returns: War Memorial Setting Up Rides & More In Rogers Park
DANBURY, Conn. — Kids — and adults — of all ages love a good carnival. And the residents of Danbury have a new carnival to enjoy. The James E. Strates Shows is setting up rides in Rogers Park in preparation for the Danbury War Memorial Fair. It will open Friday, May 5, and run through Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 14.
