Wet Weather To Soak Bridgeport Today, Warmer Tomorrow

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Grab the wells and an umbrella for Thursday, but be ready for warmer weather Friday as a warm front lifts to the north by late afternoon bringing with it spotty light rain to Fairfield County, according to the National Weather Service.

After the system pushes through later tonight, the area can expect to experience a warming trend with temperatures 10 to 15 degrees above normal.

Today: Periods of drizzle before noon, then rain after 1pm. High near 53. East wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of rain is 100 percent. 

Tonight: Rain before 9 p.m., then a chance of showers, mainly between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. Patchy fog between 9 p.m. and midnight. Steady temperature around 50. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. 

Friday: Mostly cloudy, with temperatures falling to around 45 by 4 p.m. North wind 6 to 10 mph.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 32. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Northwest wind 11 to 15 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 41. Breezy, with a northwest wind 17 to 21 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 32.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 43.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 36.
