Warm Temps, Sunny Skies Continue Across Weekend, Election Day In Bridgeport

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Sunny skies and unseasonably warm air will stick around over the weekend and into Election Day across Fairfield County.

Some trees, like the ones to the left of the green in Redding Center, are hitting their color peaks and dropping their leaves before others have begun to turn. Expect sunny skies and seasonal fall temperatures through Election Day.

The temperatures will be feel more like early fall and remain that way until at least Tuesday. But leaves are falling, so get out and rake — and then get out and vote.

This weekend marks the end of daylight savings time. At 2 a.m. Sunday, clocks need to be dialed back one hour. Get read for brighter mornings and darker evenings.

Saturday will open with patchy frost, then the day will become sunny with mild air around 53 degrees, however wind chill will make it seem at least 10 points chillier.

Saturday night will be cloudy, with a low around 41.

Sunday will be another fairly mild one for late fall, with temperatures around 51.

The cooler air will move in overnight, bringing it down to 33.

A sunny Monday will bring a high of 51.

Frost will come Election Day eve, with clear skies, and cooler air hovering near 35.

The warm-up will happen Election Day, which will also be sunny with temperatures up to 58 degrees.

The cooling, to around 42, will happen overnight, though skies will be clear.
