Rain Threat Could Dampen Weekend Plans In Bridgeport

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Fairfield County residents can expect rain to impact their weekend plans, but Saturday and Sunday are unlikely to be a total washout.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms were forecast for early Saturday morning, with mostly cloudy skies for the rest of the day. There is a 40 percent chance for thunderstorms Saturday night, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Sunday's forecast calls for showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 10 a.m. Clouds should gradually clear by the the afternoon, when the high is expected to reach the mid 80s.

The extended forecast improves early next week, with mostly clear skies and temperatures in the high 70s through the early part of the work week.
