FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — The end of winter is still two weeks away, but spring will be in the air across Fairfield County with temperatures soaring to the warmest of the year on Wednesday.

Wednesday's high temperatures will rise into the upper 60s or near 70, and even higher in some areas, under bright, sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service. New record high temperatures could be seen.

Temperatures will reach the 60-degree mark Thursday with a chance of showers in the afternoon and evening.

It will be a partly cloudy day with a high in the 50s Friday.

Wet weather will move in later this weekend and into Monday.
