Hot And Humid Weather Blankets Bridgeport, With Threat Of Thunderstorms

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- It's oppressively hot and humid Thursday across Fairfield County — and it may get worse later with a threat of thunderstorms in the forecast, according to the National Weather Service.

A few thunderstorms will come late today and into this evening. These storms could produce strong winds gusts, according to the Weather Service.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will arrive by afternoon, under cloudy skies, with warm air near 84 degrees.

The unsettled weather will continue this evening when there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly before midnight. Overnight will be mostly cloudy.

Friday will be sunny, with hot, sticky air as high near 91, cooling down overnight, when skies will be clear and the temperature will dip to around 67 degrees.

Saturday will be sunny and hot once again, with a high nearing 87 degrees.

Sunday's sunny skies will bring warm air near 85 degrees.
