Heat Wave Ends In Bridgeport, Chance Of Rain Fills Weekend Forecast

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — After sweltering through a min-heat wave, residents of Fairfield County residents woke up Saturday to much cooler temperatures and, unfortunately, overcast clouds.

The forecast for the weekend is potentially a rainy one, with high temperatures nearly 20 degrees lower than on Friday, according to the National Weather Service. But it should not put a damper on the whole weekend.

Saturday will see a 40 percent chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 3 p.m. It will be cloudy, with a high near 71 degrees in Fairfield County.

There is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday might, with cloudy skies and a low near 63 degrees. 

On Sunday, there will be a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Again, it will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 79. 

Monday will be mostly sunny and cool, with a high near 78 before temperatures begin to heat up again on Tuesday.
