Bridgeport Will See Sunny Skies Today, But Rain Could Hit This Weekend

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Fairfield County residents can expect a couple days of pleasant weather to finish up the week, but some rain may hit the area this weekend.

High pressure will bring mainly dry conditions and near seasonable temperatures on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. The day will be sunny, with a high near 83. Thursday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 63.

A frontal system will approach on Friday, which will be partly sunny with a high near 80. Humidity levels will gradually increase, and there is the possibility of a shower in the afternoon. The chance of rain increases in the evening, when there is a possibility of showers and thunderstorms. Otherwise the night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 63.

On Saturday there is a 40 percent chance of shower and thunderstorms. The rest of the day will be mostly cloudy with a high near 78. Saturday night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 65.

The skies will clear up on Sunday, which will be partly sunny with a high near 83. Sunday night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 65.
