Bridgeport Will See Raw, Rainy Start To Workweek

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – The clear skies and warmer-than-average temperatures we have been enjoying in Fairfield County will give way to colder, wet weather as the workweek starts, according to the National Weather Service.

After a partly sunny day Sunday with highs into the low 60s, there will be a chance of rain by evening, starting at about 11 p.m., with wind gusts of about 20 mph.

Monday will be a wet, raw day with rain arriving after 8 a.m., with a 100 percent chance of precipitation. A quarter to a half-inch of rain is likely along with patches of fog.

Monday's high temperature hit only about 40 degrees, with wind-chill values near freeing.

Rain will continue Monday night with patchy fog and wind gusts of up to 28 mph. Another quarter to half-inch of rain is possible by evening.

Rain is likely to continue through Tuesday morning, mainly before 7 a.m. There will be areas of fog through noon.

There is a chance or rain or drizzle again Tuesday after 1 p.m. and through the evening.

Areas of fog will continue through midday Wednesday, with partly sunny skies and high temperatures approaching 60 degrees in the afternoon.
