Another Cold Night Will Hit Bridgeport, But Temps To Turn Milder

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — It will be another three dog night across Fairfield County on Tuesday night at temperatures sink again into the single digits, the National Weather Service said.

As a large dome of high pressure settles in Tuesday night, it will be dry with clear skies. The winds will diminish and the temperatures will be "quite cold," the weather service said. Expect single digits inland and in the teens along the coastline in Connecticut.

But temperatures will begin to moderate to seasonable levels Wednesday with highs in the mid-30s under sunny skies. but wind chills could make it feel like its 10 to 20 degrees. Overnight lows will be in the teens.

By Thursday, temperatures will climb above normal with daytime highs back near 40 but with wind chills of 20 to 25 degrees.

Friday will be mostly sunny, with a high in the mid-40s.
