Coyote Warning Issued In Westport After Multiple Dog Attacks Police issued a coyote warning in a town in Fairfield County after two dogs were attacked. The incidents occurred in Westport over the past week in the North area of the town. According to Lt. Eric Woods of the Westport Police, two dogs have been attacked by coyotes, but neither was killed. Woods said residents should protect their animals when out for a walk or while they are in the yard. Motorcycle Crashes After Bear Runs Onto Route 202 In Litchfield County Two area residents out for a Sunday drive were injured after a bear ran in front of their motorcycle, causing them to crash after clipping the animal. The crash occurred around 1:35 p.m. Sunday on the Litchfield Turnpike (Route 202), said Connecticut State Trooper Kelly Grant.  According to Grant, Paul Padua and Theresa Kochiss-Padua, both of Norfolk in Litchfield County, were traveling eastbound on a 2014 Harley Davidson when a bear ran in front of them, hitting the motorcycle.  Both received minor injuries and were transported to Danbury Hospital for treatment. South American Rodent Bites Toddler at Beardsley Zoo In Bridgeport BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A young visitor to Beardsley Zoo got a little closer to the wildlife than she’d hoped Sunday when a South American rodent bit her finger through a gap in a Rainforest Building enclosure.
