Man Walking In Roadway Seriously Injured After Being Hit By SUV A Fairfield County man was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle while walking in a busy roadway. John Ponseigo, 62, of Danbury, was hit by a 2018 Honda CR-V driven by James McClure, 72, of Bethel, around 3:43 p.m. in the area of West Wooster and Pleasant streets, said Danbury Police Det. Lt. Mark Williams. A preliminary investigation indicates that McClure, was traveling westbound on West Wooster Street when his vehicle struck Ponseigo who was walking in the roadway, Williams said. Driver, Residents Injured As Pickup Truck Slams Into Fairfield County House Three people were hospitalized after a pickup truck slammed into a house in Danbury early Saturday morning, according to James Gagliardo of the Danbury Fire Department. Just before 4 a.m. Saturday, the Danbury Fire Department was dispatched to the area of West Wooster Street and Garfield Avenue by Western Connecticut 911 along with City of Danbury EMS and the Police Department for a report of a vehicle into a house with possible entrapment.
