An investigation was launched by the Monroe Police Department in February when an area resident purchased a motor vehicle with a fraudulent title. An extensive, multi-agency investigation was launched, which led them to identify Krista Karch and Orlando Dominguez, both residents of Essex, Connecticut, in Middlesex County, as possible suspects. Man Nabbed For Pulling Renter's Scam In Greenwich, Police Say A man who had allegedly pulled a financial fraud scam on a Greenwich resident was nabbed following a lengthy investigation. The incident began in March 2019 when a Greenwich resident reported to police they had rented an out-of-state property through an on-line listing, Greenwich Police said.  A person, later identified as Jelil Olawale Aboila, 23, of Newark, New Jersey, contacted the victim and agreed to rent the property. Man Arrested In Connection With $6K 'Grandparent Scam,' Greenwich Police Say A 30-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly was caught retrieving a UPS package that contained the proceeds from a "grandparent scam," said the Greenwich Police.
