Police To Ramp Up Roving Patrols, Sobriety Checkpoint Over Holiday Weekend With one of the busiest driving weekends of the year fast approaching, local and state law enforcement agencies in Connecticut have plans to ramp up special enforcement details during the Memorial Day Weekend holiday. Police will be out in force during Memorial Day Weekend, targeting everything from motorists traveling too fast or while impaired, to those not wearing seatbelts or violating vehicle and traffic laws.
