Bridgeport PD: Two Injured After Driver Hits Three Vehicles, Utility Pole Two people were injured in a four-vehicle crash that damaged a fire hydrant, and utility pole and a transformer. The crash took place around 1:10 p.m., Wednesday, May 6, in Fairfield County at the intersection of Putnam and Park streets in Bridgeport, said Bridgeport Police Sgt. Darryl Wilson. According to Wilson, Officer John Perry, responded, along with K-9 Officer Eddie Rodriquez, and found both operators on the ground complaining of injuries. Suspect On Loose After Man Shot In Bridgeport A suspect is on the loose after a man was shot overnight in Bridgeport. Shots were fired at around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 9 in the area of 789/791 William St., where the victim was struck by gunfire,  Bridgeport Police said. The victim fled on foot to Putnam Street where he was found by responding officers, according to police. The man sustained a wound to his neck and was transported to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment.
