Police Ask Public's Help In Identifying Extended Stay Hotel Burglary Suspect Police are asking the public for help identifying a suspect wanted in a burglary at a Fairfield County hotel. The burglary occurred on Tuesday, June 2, around 5 a.m. at the Extended Stay Hotel at 400 Main Ave., in Norwalk. During the crime, cash was stolen from the register, and a purse and computer were stolen from a guests’ room, said Lt. Police On The Hunt For Fairfield County Purse Thief Shelton police are asking the public for help identifying a woman who stole the purse of an 86-year-old woman and then used her credit card to go shopping. The theft occurred around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, while the woman was shopping at the Shop Rite located at 875 Bridgeport Ave., in Shelton, said Shelton Police Det. Richard Bango. "While shopping, the victim walked away from her shopping cart leaving her purse inside," Bango said.
