CT Hit-Run Victim Saved By Good Samaritan, Police Say A Connecticut pedestrian who was struck by a hit-and-run driver remains in critical condition after being aided by a Good Samaritan. The incident happened just before 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23, when New Haven Police and Fire responded to a report of a pedestrian struck on Sherman Avenue between Elm Street and Whalley Avenue, in New Haven. Prior to the arrival of emergency responders, a nearby 40-year-old New Haven woman heard the impact of the pedestrian being struck by the car, said New Haven PD Captain Anthony Duff.
