Know Them? Thieves Swipe Numerous Wallets At Avon Theater Police are searching for three suspects who allegedly stole multiple wallets out of purses at the Avon Theatre in Stamford while posing as moviegoers. The thefts took place during the 7:30 p.m. showing of "Judy" on Saturday, Oct. 19, said Sgt. Sean Scanlan. The suspects, described as two teenage black males and one teenage black female, took wallets from numerous purses, Scanlan said.
