Wrong-Way Driver Charged With DUI, CT State Police Say A man driving the wrong way on a roadway in the region has been accused of driving while under the influence on Thanksgiving Day morning. At about 5:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 25, Connecticut State Police in Windham County at Troop D in Danielson said multiple 911 calls reported a black SUV, displaying a Massachusetts registration, traveling southbound, at a high rate of speed, in the northbound lanes of I-395, in Plainfield.  With the assistance of Plainfield Police, the vehicle was located and safely brought to a stop in the area of Exit 29, in Plainfield, according to Connecticut …

Car Crashes Into House With Sleeping Mother, Son Inside In Connecticut One person was injured after the driver of a Dodge Durango hit an icy patch and slammed into a house with a sleeping mother and son inside. The crash took place in Windham County around 1:20 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 11, in Plainfield. CT Man Arrested For Sexual Assault A Connecticut man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman earlier this year. Gavin Armstrong, age 20, of Voluntown, in New London County, was arrested on a warrant by the Plainfield Police in Windham County for the incident which took place in June. According to the Plainfield Police, the arrest stems from disclosure on Saturday, June 12, from a woman who reported the sexual assault.  After a lengthy investigation, an arrest warrant was obtained for Armstrong. Former CT Teacher Charged With Sexual Assault Of Minors A Connecticut social studies teacher and coach has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting minors. New London County resident Craig McCue, age 31, of North Stonington, was arrested in Windham County on Tuesday, Oct. 12, by Plainfield Police following a months-long investigation. Accused CT Serial Arsonist Arrested By Police Plainfield Police have arrested an alleged serial arsonist. Roland Bourque III, 29, of Moosup, Connecticut, was arrested Thursday, July 23, on two counts of arson, WTNH reported. The charges stem from two fires: June 22, 2016, on South Main Street; and Aug. 17, 2017, on Roy Street. Bourque alleged confessed to setting the fires when he was arrested after being caught trying to set fire to an abandoned resident on May 2, WTHN reported.
