Fairfield County Man Nabbed For Hit-Run Crash, DUI, Police Say
An area man was charged with allegedly hitting two vehicles and leaving the scene of the crash while driving intoxicated.
The incident took place around 10:30 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 10, in Fairfield County when New Canaan Police were dispatched to the area of Main Street on a report of a vehicle that struck two parked cars and left the scene of the crash.
Through witness statements, responding officers obtained a registration plate for the wanted vehicle, which identified David Hart, age 45, of New Canaan, as the owner of the vehicle.

Woman Nabbed For Stealing From Fairfield County Store, Police Say
One of two women who allegedly stole more than $700 worth of merchandise from an area store has been charged with the theft.
Azra Zejnilovic, age 22, of the Bronx, turned herself in to the New Canaan Police on Wednesday, Sept. 1, for the incident which took place in February at the Athletic Shoe Factory.
According to New Canaan Police, police responded to the store, located at 3 Forest St., on a report of a larceny from the store by two women.
The total value of clothing stolen from the store was $780, said Lt. Jason Ferraro.

Child Porn Suspect Made Contact With Kids In Neighboring Fairfield County Town, Police Say
A Fairfield County man who was arrested in May for allegedly possessing child porn has been arrested again.
Quinten Yonkers, age 24, of New Canaan, was arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 24, by Darien Police.
The arrest comes after Darien Police were contacted by New Canaan Police on Friday, Aug.13, in regards to an investigation they were conducting regarding Yonkers, said Darien Police Sgt. James Palmieri.

A Fairfield County man has been arrested for allegedly crashing a vehicle and leaving the scene.
Emmanuel Segarra-Otero, age 30, of Stamford, was arrested on Friday, Aug. 6, after turning himself in to New Canaan in connection with the crash which took place on Saturday, June 12, on the Merritt Parkway, said New Canaan Police Lt. Jason Ferraro.
According to Ferraro, when officers arrived at the single-vehicle crash site, they located an unoccupied vehicle that had crashed into the guardrail on Old Stamford Road.

A man has been arrested for allegedly breaking into a Fairfield County home and stealing keys to a BMW, then stealing the vehicle and crashing it.
Charles Wood Wright, age 18, of New Canaan, was arrested on Sunday, July 11, following the crash which place on Heritage Hill Road, said the New Canaan Police.
According to police, officers responded to a crash involving a BMW which had struck a tree located off the road. When officers arrived, the vehicle was unoccupied and heavily damaged.

A Northern Westchester man turned himself in to police on a warrant after he allegedly hit a bicyclist earlier this year in Fairfield County and then fled the scene.
Christopher Lynch, age 51, of South Salem, was arrested on Tuesday, July 13, and charged with improper passing and evading responsibility for the crash which took place on Wednesday, April 28 in New Canaan.
According to New Canaan Police, Lynch was driving northbound on Smith Ridge Road when he struck the cyclist who was also traveling northbound.

A Fairfield County man who said he accidentally shot his wife to death in their basement has been charged with her murder.
Albert Kokoth, age 77, of New Canaan, was arrested on Tuesday, July 13, for the Thursday, May 6, shooting death of his wife Margaret Kokoth.
When police arrived at the home, Kokoth told officers that his shotgun accidentally "went off," striking his wife and killing her.
