The incident happened on Wednesday, Oct. 18 around 5:40 p.m., when an unauthorized person on the tracks at Port Chester station was fatally struck by a westbound New Haven Line train, MTA officials said. A portion of a suspended concrete ceiling over a stairway vestibule at the Stamford Train Station collapsed, sending riders scrambling to get out of the way. Scott James Harrington, age 59, of Riverside, a hamlet of Greenwich, was struck near the Cos Cob station by a New York-bound train around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, confirmed MTA officials.
