Two Nabbed In Greenwich Avenue iPhone Fraud Attempt
Two men were nabbed for attempting to purchase a $1,0000 iPhone using a fake identity.
Alberto Lopez-Abreu, 18, and his accomplice, Jacob R. Guttierrez, 20, both of New York City, were arrested Friday, Dec. 7, after Greenwich Police were called to the Verizon Wireless store for a possible fraudulent activity, Greenwich Police said.
When officers arrived on the scene they found Lopez-Abreu had attempting to buy a $1,000 iPhone by using the personal identification of another person who had a Verizon Wireless account, police said.
