Bridgeport Woman Accused Of Punching Passenger On Bus In Fairfield A Fairfield County woman has been accused of getting on a transit bus and hitting another passenger. Lisette Hernandez, age 38, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 26 by Fairfield Police receiving a call from the bus driver of the Greater Bridgeport Transit, police said. According to police, Hernandez reportedly boarded the bus and struck the passenger in the area of Post Road and Beach Road in Fairfield. 17, Including Three Children, Displaced Following Fire At Multi-Family Residence In Bridgeport At least 17 people, including three children, were displaced after a fire at a multi-family residence left the building in ruins. The fire, at 232 Maplewood Ave., in Bridgeport, was first reported around 7:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 6, after the Emergency Management Center, received numerous calls reporting heavy fire with the possibility of occupants still inside, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police and Fire departments. Girl, 9, Struck By Vehicle On Way To School In Trumbull, Police Say A 9-year-old girl is being treated for a leg injury after being hit by a vehicle on her way to school. The incident took place around 8:15 a.m. Wednesday on Main Street near Pinehurst Street in Trumbull, said Trumbull Police Capt. Keith Golding.
