27-Year-Old Who Stepped Out Of Car After Crash Struck, Killed By SUV On CT Roadway
Connecticut State Police are seeking witnesses to a five-car crash that killed a 27-year-old Connecticut man who was struck on I-91 after getting out of his Honda Accord when it became disabled. The crash occurred in New Haven around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2 northbound on I-91. According to state police, Thomas Mieles, of New Haven, was traveling northbound when he hit a concrete barrier causing his car to become disabled in the left lane. Screams Echo Through Downtown CT City After Person Apparently Struck By Car
Screams echoed through Downtown Hartford Friday evening after at least one person was apparently struck by a car, witnesses say. "I heard screams," said a resident of 101 Pearl St, who captured footage of good Samaritans rushing to aid an unknown number of victims on the ground around 5:20 p.m. At the sceneSpecial to Daily Voice Video from the scene shows a boy being placed on a stretcher and a man on the ground. Driver Rescued After Car Crashes Into Rippowam River
A motorist in Fairfield County needed to be rescued after making a splash landing in the Rippowam River. First responders in downtown Stamford received a report on Monday, Sept. 14 of a single-car crash that led to a motorist finding himself submerged in the river’s water. Upon arrival, firefighters found the vehicle, which had struck a stone wall on Tresser Boulevard before losing control, skidding down the embankment and landing in the middle of the river.
