Flames shooting up in the air could be seen for miles after the blaze engulfed the entire building around 1 a.m. Sunday at 320 Shore Road, east of I-95 and alongside the Housatonic River. Five Adults, Five Children Displaced In Norwalk House Fire Five adults and five children have been displaced as a result of a house fire that broke out in Norwalk on Christmas night, according to the Norwalk Fire Department. The fire occurred at 16 Lexington Avenue around 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 25. When fire crews responded to the call, they noticed upon arrival heavy smoke billowing from both stories of the duplex. Authorities also observed open flames coming from the second-story bedroom window. The heat from the fire melted the siding on the building next door.
