Wrong-Way Crash: Driver Charged After Striking Patrol Cruiser, CT State Police Say A Connecticut man is behind bars after allegedly driving in the wrong direction on a major highway and slamming into a state police cruiser and then fleeing the scene. The incident took place in New Haven on Friday, March 31 on I-91 around 8:30 p.m. between Exits 1 and 2. According to state police, troopers attempted to stop a wrong-way driver that was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes on I-91 between exits 2-1. Preteen Sexually Assaulted By Offender After Meeting Through Snapchat, Stratford Police Say A Bridgeport man on the sex offender registry has been arrested for sexually assaulting a preteen he met on Snapchat, said the Stratford Police. Reginald Sharp, 37, was arrested on Tuesday, July 23, after Stratford Police responded to a report of a preteen who was sexually assaulted, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti. According to Eannotti, the preteen met Sharp through Snapchat after he created fake profiles on several social media applications and then lured the teen from a residence where he sexually assaulted the victim.
