Man Found Dead 12 Hours After Police Respond To Report Of Shots Fired, Bridgeport Police Say A Bridgeport man was found shot dead almost 12 hours after police responded to the area on a notification of shots fired. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 8:15 p.m., Wednesday, April 26 in the 100 block of Denver Avenue. According to Captain Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police, officers responded to the area on Wednesday after receiving a ShotSpotter notification. Once on the scene, officers collected several items of evidence, conducted interviews, canvassed the area, and documented their investigation, Gilleran said.
