Bridgeport Man Charged Following Standoff For Firing Shots, Police Say A Fairfield County man was arrested following a standoff with police after he allegedly fired numerous shots from the third-floor window of a multi-family home. The incident began in Bridgeport in the 100 block of Orange Street around 4:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 24. Bridgeport Police responded to a home after receiving calls reporting shots being fired on Orange Street, Capt. Kevin Gilleran said, of the Bridgeport Police.
