Police: Pair Of 'Heroes' Save Drowning Man At Stamford Beach
Two men are being called "heroes" after saving a drowning man at a Fairfield County beach. Carlos Manuel Escobar Bonilla and Luis Montano are credited with saving a man’s life at Cummings Beach in Stamford around 11 p.m., Monday, July 3, said the Stamford Police. According to police, Bonilla saw the unidentified man in the water was having trouble, so his friend Montano quickly took off his clothes and dove into the water to save the man. Man Accused Of Pushing Woman From Car, Throwing Dog In Fairfield County
A domestic argument led a Westchester man to throw a woman and a dog from a vehicle while two children were in the car in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Cummings Beach in Stamford around 10:50 p.m. on Saturday, July 9. Stamford Police received a call from an open 911 line, as they heard a male and female fighting, and screaming for help, said Capt. Diedrich Hohn, of the Stamford Police. Missing Roofer Located 'Safe And Sound,' Police Say
A Stamford man who had been missing for days after leaving a Shippan bar has been located. The Stamford Police Department said Tuesday, Aug. 13, that Mariusz “Marco” Gibas, 37, "had been found safe and sound." Gibas had been missing since Wednesday, Aug. 7, as he was leaving Fiddler's Green on Shippan Avenue and walking toward Cummings Beach, said the Stamford Police Department.
