Employee At Fairfield County Shelter Charged With Cruelty To Animals An employee of an animal shelter in the area has been arrested on two counts of animal cruelty, according to police. Krystel A. Lopez, who worked at Tails of Courage animal rescue in Danbury,  surrendered herself to Danbury Police on Monday, April 16 after learning there were active arrest warrants for her arrest stemming from two allegations of animal cruelty at the center, police said. The warrants were issued following an investigation by the State of Connecticut Animal Control in response to several complaints of sick animals being housed at Tails of Courage, 39 Smith St., police added.…
