Bridgeport Mandates Masks Wearing As Delta Variant Ramps Up With the rise of the COVID-19 Delta variant, masks are returning to another Fairfield County city, the second in a day. On Tuesday, Aug. 10, Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim signed an executive order which requires all individuals in the city to wear facial masks while indoors at any public place or in any business.
