Darien HS Grad John Timbers of Bethel, Assistant US Attorney, Lawyer In Stamford, Dies At 76 A Stamford attorney from Bethel who served as an assistant U.S. Attorney in New York during his career has died. John W. Timbers died at home on Thursday, May 23. He was 76. Timbers was born in Brooklyn in 1942 to Charlotte T. Timbers and the Hon. William H. Timbers who later served as a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.  Timbers graduated from Darien High School in 1960 and from Dartmouth College in 1964, after which he attended the University of Edinburgh in Scotland as a Rotary Scholar.  After graduating from Harvard Law School in 1968, he clerked for…
