Some Fairfield County Schools Hold Delay Openings After Overnight Snow

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — A number of school districts in Fairfield County will have delayed openings on Monday, March 21, after an overnight snowfall.

The following schools will open on a delay:

Bridgeport
Monroe
Newtown
Shelton
Trumbull

Also, all campuses of the University of Connecticut, including the one in Stamford, will open at noon.

The forecast calls for 1 to 3 inches of total snowfall accumulation. The light snow was expected to continue into the morning, then give way to afternoon sun.
