Interim Schools Superintendent Fran Rabinowitz told the Connecticut Post that she wants to move the district forward, and added that $15.1 million more is needed just to offer what the district does now, due to escalating costs and growing students numbers. The request will be heard Monday during the Board of Education meeting, said the Connecticut Post.
The remaining money would be used to help underperforming students with extra reading help, more behavior and academic support, additional classroom aides and for expanded music and sports program, added the Connecticut Post.
