“I love Fairfield,’’ said Myers, who previously worked in banking. “I love the little coffee shops, and I look for reasons to go there. I’ve run the Pequot Road Roace every Thanksgiving for a few years, and I’ve been looking for a reason to join the Pequot club. I’m excited to be working in Fairfield.”
Myers joined the team led by Brokerage Sales Manager Brad Kimmelman about a month ago. She worked as a financial center manager and in sales in her banking career before taking time off for about five years. “I knew I didn’t want to go back into banking,’’ said Myers, the mother of four. “I always had an interest in real estate and thought this was a good time to try something new.”
Myers said the training with William Pitt Sotheby's and Kimmelman superceded her expectations. “It’s incomparable to anything else in real estate,’’ Myers said. “I know other people who have transitioned into real estate and did not receive near the comprehensive training that William Pitt Sotheby's offers. I strongly believe I made the right choice. The 1-on-1 training with Brad is unparalleled.”
When Myers decided to return to the work force, she focused on real estate, and Fairfield, from the outset. “Real estate is about being in charge of my day,’’ she said. “I like the idea of helping clients find their next home. I also feel like I’m more of the entrepreneur type, and real estate gives me the chance to be in the driver’s seat.”
