The harassment took place during the previous administration, and took two years for the matter to be resolved, the Connecticut Post reported.
The student complained to her school, who complained to the city's Office of Internal Affairs, the Connecticut Post reported. An investigation was launched, which resulted in a 10-day suspension without pay for Duran, according to the Connecticut Post.
