Two More Homicides Reported In Bridgeport In Deadly Weekend

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Two people were shot to death in unrelated incidents early Sunday in Bridgeport, bringing the number of weekend homicides in the city to three, according to the Connecticut Post.

The first shooting occurred at about 2:15 a.m. Sunday during a dispute between neighbors at 950-952 State St., the Post said. A male victim found at Norman and Fremont streets was pronounced dead later at the hospital, the Connecticut Post said.

At 4:27 a.m. Sunday, a resident of 140 Alice St. was shot in the parking lot there, police told the Post.

The names of the victims were not released as the fatal shootings remained under investigation Sunday, the Post said.

The homicides are the 15th and 16th of the year in Bridgeport.  

At about 3 a.m. Saturday, Chaz Rogers, 37, was found shot, including at least once to the head, on Stratford Avenue and died later at the hospital.

Also Saturday, the body of a man, who was described only as Asian, was recovered from the water near the dock for the Bridgeport-Port Jefferson ferry, police said. That death also remains under investigation,
