Son Of Retired Bridgeport Cop ID'd As Victim In Fatal Motorcycle Crash

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Authorities identified the victim of a fatal motorcycle accident on Monday as Bridgeport's William Bailey III, according to CT Post.

Bailey, the son of William R. Bailey Jr., a retired Bridgeport police lieutenant, was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed on Surf Avenue in Stratford when he failed to properly handle a curve and hit a tree and a parked vehicle, CT Post reported.

Authorities are still investigating the crash, CT Post said.
